play date. no pixels allowed
Hello world,
After spending the week on the road shooting a wedding in 98 degrees, a high school senior session and a portrait session, it's time for a big fat post.(and a pbr) All of those images later. This post is about playing.
Right before I left I headed down to Charlotte to have a play date with my buddy Sir Richard Israel. He had a couple of models lined up for the afternoon, we had film and plenty of cameras. We decided that it was going to be an analog kind of day, so we left the digitals behind. I even left my iPhone and brought a rotary phone. They really do get shitty reception. That was about it for the plan. We stopped by an old farm down the road from his house and started clickin' away. He started with one model and after he was finished I would take a turn in the same location. Then I would pick the next location and he would have to follow. Kind of like a photographic game of HORSE. (childhood basketball game, right) I think we all need to get out there and do this as much as we can. Just bouncing ideas off of one another all afternoon was just what I needed to re-spark that desire to push the shutter. Make sure to check out Richards post and see the images he made too.
keep on clickin'
